Capitol Technologies – Factory Automation Systems has delivered assembly lines that target cycle times in the range of one to four seconds that also offer the added advantage of seamless changeover to various part numbers of the same product line.
Precision Assembly System
This semi-automatic system for a tier one automotive supplier aids the assembly of air intake manifolds. The equipment was based on a steel roller chain system carrying customized aluminum pallets. Our customer required a mix of manual and automatic stations for the assembly of their customer’s intake manifold.
Flexible Assembly System
This semi-automatic system for a tier one automotive supplier aids the assembly of air intake manifolds. The equipment was based on a steel roller chain system carrying customized aluminum pallets. Our customer required a mix of manual and automatic stations for the assembly of their customer’s intake manifold.

Complex Part Assembly
This Wheel Bearing Assembly System was built for a tier one automotive supplier whose product was a balanced blend of mature technology and innovative subsystems. This is a low-volume system with manual and automated content tailored to suit our customer’s labor climate.
Electronics Assembly and Test Line
This assembly system for a tier two automotive supplier was based upon a palletized power and free conveyor transport system included manual assembly and inspection, robotic sealant application, curing, and functional testing.

Precision Adhesive Application
This thermal adhesive dispensing station uses a programmable robot carrying an adhesive dispensing unit to apply a pattern of thermal adhesive to an aluminum housing where a ceramic circuit board is placed.
In-Process Part Buffer Equipment
The circuit board assembly system required flexibility in loading and unloading parts to meet specified production rates and ease model changeover. Capitol met this challenge by including two part accumulator stations that allowed production to proceed as needed unaffected by equipment changeover. One leg of this assembly system required a two hour tooling changeover time period.

Robotic Assembly Workcell
This station presented circuit board sub-assemblies to a robot arm. The robot picked up the circuit boards via vacuum tooling and placed them into a circuit board housing over a pre-applied adhesive. The robot pressed the circuit boards into the housing with force-controlled end-of-arm tooling to displace the adhesive. Completed assemblies proceeded into an adhesive curing oven.
Fully Automated Assembly System
This assembly line that Capitol Technologies built for a tier-one automotive manufacturer assembled, tested and calibrated airmeter sensor units.

Automated Circuit Board Assembly
This power steering control module assembly line features high precision dispensing of adhesive, solder paste and placement of electronic components.

Third Party Equipment Integration
Capitol Technologies integrated third party screen printing equipment into this circuit board manufacturing line for a tier-one automotive manufacturer. The two units screen-printed a rosin flux paste and solder paste.

Capitol Technologies built this system for a tier-one automotive manufacturer to automate placement, inspection and soldering of surface mount electronic components.

Capitol Technologies integrated this semi-aqueous cleaning unit into a circuit board assembly line for a tier one automotive manufacturer.
The circuit board assembly system included an epoxy underflow station with an epoxy cure oven. The ceramic substrate circuit boards were preheated in a ten lane, 500 board capacity heated platen unit that fed boards to the underflow station at a ten second cycle rate.
